BTO Application Process

What is the BTO application process?

1. Project Launch: HDB announces new BTO projects with application dates

2. Application: Submit application online during the specified period

3. Balloting: If oversubscribed, a computer ballot determines queue positions

4. Flat Selection: Choose your unit based on queue position

5. Construction: Wait for construction completion (typically 3-4 years)

6. Key Collection: Complete legal formalities and collect keys

What are the eligibility criteria for BTO flats?

Key eligibility criteria include:

Singapore citizenship (at least one applicant)
Minimum age of 21 years old
Family nucleus (married couples, engaged couples, etc.)
Income ceiling requirements (varies by flat type)
No current ownership of HDB flat or private property
Meet waiting period if previously owned property
